More difficult as one has to control the sea lanes to get to unconnected land masses. Direct approaches should require one to defeat a "3" versus a "2" to advance.
Game is good except it is too easy to get bumped off in the caverns. having 9 and taken out by 1 unit with 100% chance of victory is not realistic except in the case on nukes.
Board seems simple, not too much different from other games except more of africa. The three transfers during one turn makes this easier than other boards.
Board is good (some numbers hard to read near pumping stations), name for colors are unique in a good sense. 3 transfers would be better like most of the other boards.
Absolutely love the game! Only improvement that I would make is to be able place armies multiple times during the same turn. Multiple deployments as conditions develop is real world.
This board has more definition than the other CW boards. My only dislike is that some cities are within territorial borders. In reality, the taking of a city generally meant controlling a region because people would flee an invading army.
